IMPORTANT UPDATE: Use of Kit IDs being Phased Out

September 14, 2017

From September 15th 2017, the Take Home Naloxone program will no longer use Kit ID stickers to identify individual Naloxone Kits.

Beginning September 15th 2017, Take Home Naloxone kits will no longer have Kit ID stickers placed on the outside or inside of kits.

While Kit Distribution records are still required, sites no longer need to record a Kit ID number.

The Kit Distribution Record has been updated to reflect this change.

The expiry date sticker will remain.

Kits in your Existing Inventory

  • For kits with ID stickers in your existing inventory, you may still use the new distribution record. Sites are not required to record the kit numbers of your remaining stock.

Kit Transfers to Other Sites

  • If your site transfers kits to another registered THN site, please email outreach@towardtheheart.comwith the Total Volume of kits transferred and to which site they were given. Sites no longer need to report the individual IDs of transferred kits.

For any questions regarding this change please email outreach@towardtheheart.com
