New Lifeguard App launched in BC

The Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA), in partnership with regional health authorities and Lifeguard Digital Health is launching the Lifeguard app, which can directly link people to emergency responders if an overdose occurs.

Lifeguard app helps you connect with emergency contact number in case of overdose. The app is equipped with a 1 minute timer. If you are not able to turn off the timer after 1 min, the app will contact emergency services. The app tells your current location to the emergency services through in-build calling functionality.
